Outreach
Swimming is a vital life-skill which every child should be afforded the opportunity to learn.
Splash outreach programmes focus on teaching underprivileged children basic swimming and water-safety skills in a 1-day workshop run by volunteer swimmers and swimming teachers. The workshop is presented as a fun and interactive play session for the children, in the hope that the skills learnt will leave a lasting impression and will be communicated to family and friends when next they spend time around water.
Sponsorship in the form of basic swimming equipment, clothing and other useful momento’s, as well as lunch or refreshments is always most welcome so that the children can take away something useful with them on the day.
Please get in touch with us if you’d like to become a volunteer or sponsor – helping underprivileged children to acquire this vital life-skill makes for an incredibly rewarding day at the pool!
Outreach Day November 2011:
A big Thank You from Splash Swimming and Manta Aquatics to Toppers Uniforms for the t-shirts, to Second Skins for the swimming caps, and to Woolworths for providing lunch for our swimmers. You really helped to make the day a huge success!
